CSL (Chinese as Second Language) Courses

CSL Beginner Level $490
aims to have native English-speaker students learn Chinese in a natural environment, helps foster the interest in learning Chinese language and develop Chinese communication. The course also includes Pinyin (phonetic) learning, which lays a solid foundation for the future study. The objective of this course is to allow students to learn daily greeting and basic communication skills through enjoyable activities and experiences.

CSL Intermediate Level $490
In this class, students will continue working on communication skills. Besides practicing listening and speaking, students will do some reading and writing exercise. Another focus of the class is to help stduents improve on the understanding of classssroom instruction in mandarin, so to prepare them for the transition from CSL to regular class.

口语班 Verbal Chinese $490 口语课着重练习口语（听、说）交流能力，适合听力和口语偏弱，按标准进度跟班比较吃力的学生。口语课可以做为与中文主课并行的补充课，也可以作为独立的中文课修习。这门课还可以作为成人csl课。
授课内容：以日常实用题材为主线。学生和老师，以及学生和学生之间会进行大量一对一情景对话。课堂上会采用以听说练习为主、认读为辅的方式进行教学。 Verbal Chinese course focuses on verbal communication skills (listening and speeking). This course serves the students who finds regular heritage course too challenge, or needs an extra boost on verbal skills. Students can take this course in parallel with other language course they are taking to catch up with the regular pace. This course can also serve as an adult CSL course.
